Most Famous Memory In the mid 80‚s, I attended a black tie affair honoring Wal-Mart's
Sam Walton. In his talk following dinner, he discussed several techniques
used to motivate his employees. One such technique was having each employee
select their favorite product, learn all they could about it and everyday
make sure their product was fully stocked and properly displayed on the
shelves. Sam then said „I'm now going to tell you about my favorite
product. He reached below the podium in his tuxedo and proudly displayed
a box of MoonPies and talked about it for several minutes. My favorite
MoonPie memory!
